It takes daily prayer and continuous study of God’s word, to have a heart that prays for; and forgives-our enemies. I have lived this and have experienced God breaking my heart, for what breaks HIS.
I allowed Jesus to fill my heart with empathy and compassion for my enemy and in time… forgiveness flooded in.
While continuously leaning on Jesus, I am able to see my enemies with the eyes of Jesus. I am able to recognize that they too, are sons and daughters of the same God. It takes daily prayer and reliance on my Father, to keep my heart soft and free from bitterness and anger. These tactics of the enemy serve only to hold us ransom and unable to move forward in freedom.
And I will give you a new heart, and a new Spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26
Prayer-Precious Father, this is a daily struggle. Convict me to live a life always seeking You. Mold me into your glorious image, one that radiates love and joy. Help me to have eyes that see what You see and a heart that never turns bitter or cold. I have lived the other way yet You put a song in my step and joy in my heart. Your way is the only way and I commit to the daily practice of seeking Jesus. Keep my heart open and willing to receive Your blessings. Keep me free from the obstacles set out by those that attempt to oppress or persecute me. Bring healing where it is needed and use me in the way that is Your willful intention.
In Jesus Name. Amen
