In the morning-
In the morning, the sun rises and the birds awake us. In the morning, our day lies out ahead of us fresh and untangled. In the morning, we are restored, refreshed and renewed. In the morning, we shall thank God for his mercies, thank God for opportunities and thank God for his blessings. In the morning he hears our voice. In the morning, we shall make our requests known to God and invite him to be a part of our day. In the morning we shall welcome God into our hearts and ask for his wisdom, guidance and protection over that day.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23
Prayer-Lord, You make every day new. You wipe my slate clean and give me another chance. You know the rhythm of what my day will be. It takes practice to abandon my own agenda and slow down and accept Your rhythm. Thank you for the newness of every morning. Thank you for washing me clean with salvation, that is the price you paid for me on the cross, Thank you for the blessings You have poured out on my life. Help me to accept Your will even when it conflicts with what I think I need. Thank you for grace and mercy each new day. In Jesus’ Name. Amen
